Vice President - Operations

Mr. Shrestha is the Vice President of Operation Function at BPC. Mr. Shrestha is with BPC for the past 27 years in different senior positions. He has wide range of both technical and managerial experience in hydropower sector. His major responsibilities include overall management of two major power plants and distribution systems of the Company in Pyuthan, Arghkhachi, Syangja and Palpa Districts.

Mr. Shrestha’s leadership and technological insight in the domain of his expertise has strengthened BPC’s generation capacity with record breaking generation trend. He has also been working as a CEO of BPC Services Limited (BPCSL), another subsidiary company of BPC, which provides Operation and Maintenance Service to the power plants.

Mr. Shrestha holds a Bachelor degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from National Institute of Technology India, Master of Science (Electrical Power System) from Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), and an MBA from Kathmandu University.
